Involved in the investment industry for several decades, Mr. Wheeler co-founded Perrine Wheeler in Norfolk, where he began his practice of purchasing, leasing, managing, and selling grocery-centered shopping centers. The firm added value by co-locating pharmacies, banks, and other services. Forming his own company in 2006, he established relationships with future tenants and analyzed demographic data to identify profitable trends.
Mr. Wheeler took his company public on the NASDAQ exchange and oversaw significant increases in the number of properties acquired and their enterprise value.
